what I learned today: imposter pinwheels

I grew up with a kind of reverence for pinwheel cookies?because my father always spoke rapturously of them and treated them as a rare delicacy (which he consumed with both relish and speed) when they were available.

But they’re a rare find.

So, if you want the taste of a pinwheel but can’t find any at the store:

Take 2 or 3 semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 mini-marshmallow, and eat them together.

Tastes exactly the same as a pinwheel! Or so I discovered last night. I wasn’t out to reinvent the pinwheel; it just kind of happened.
