Stargazing

Several nights ago at temple, I sat with others at the first meeting of a four-session “Spirituality for Skeptics” group. That might sound like an odd gathering for me to join, but I wanted to explore how my intrinsic spirituality fit with my burgeoning Judaism. Seems most others — new and established Jews alike — were asking the same questions.
What struck me was the discussion as we went around the room talking about the “spiritual moments” we’d experienced in our lives. Nearly every one of us spoke of feeling a connection to nature, and Liz and I both mentioned stargazing.
